Arlenis Romero (ex Obras) is a newcomer at Santa Tecla

Santa Tecla-Seven (Liga Superior) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old Cuban international point guard Arlenis Romero (176-84). She played in the summer at Obras in Argentinian Superliga. In 18 games she recorded 11.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg. Romero helped them to make it to the semifinals. She also played that season for Pinar in Cuban Liga Superior where in 11 games she was fifth best scorer with impressive 16.4ppg and had 2.0rpg, 8.6apg (leader !!!) and 3.7spg. Romero contributed to her team winning the Cuban Liga Superior title (twice). Great season indeed as she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Cuban Liga Superior 1st Team.
She also represented Cuba at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 5.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.5apg, Steals-5 (2.0spg), FGP: 28.6%, 3PT: 20.8%, FT: 50.0%.
Romero is a very experienced player.
